Halogen (aka Jenny Smart) is a poet, a performer, and maybe a human (probably not.)  She’s currently studying Creative Writing at Concordia University in Montreal. Her past exploits include being slam master and co-founder of Discordia Poetry Collective, poetry editor for Soliloquies Anthology, an illustrator for What If? Magazine, and a member of Throw! Poetry Collective. As a spoken word poet, she has attended The Canadian Festival of Spoken Word national poetry slam championships three times, representing both Montreal and London. Her work has appeared in print in The New Quarterly, Headlight Anthology, What If? Magazine, The Phonograph, and Live Lines. Halogen hopes to be a plant when she grows up and would like to be your imaginary friend.
